Vision

Straight Road Ministries is a dynamic, life transforming ministry with a vision; to prepare the way on which the tabernacle of the Most Holy God passes, making straight the crooked places. This is our testimony.

Vision bearer

Dickson Wasake, a servant of the Lord Jesus and an ordained minister is the senior pastor of the ministries forming part of Straight Road Ministries.

He was called by the Lord as a preacher of righteousness and to tell all to: “Repent for the Kingdom of Heaven is near [Mark 1:15].” About the vision he received, he says: “As I was seeking the Lord to make clearer how this work he gave me can be a success, the Lord answered my prayer saying: ‘Write down the revelation and make it plain on tablets so that a herald may run with it (Habakkuk 2:2 NIV).’

The Lord wanted me to lay out the vision plainly so that the one who reads, and is propelled by the Spirit of God will partner with Straight Road Ministries to make the vision come to pass, for this appointed time.”

Our mission

We are God ordained to edify the body of Christ by manifesting the tangibility of God’s word through Equipping, Teaching, Discipleship, Mentorship and Revealing God’s word to the entire body of Christ. This is for the redemption and improvement of the spiritual, social and general wellbeing of a believer, anchored on the word of God to bring the realities of God’s grace to all nations.

Objectives of the Mission.

  • To preach the gospel – evangelism, street meetings, door to door out-reach, national and international seminars, conferences, global prayers, workshops, TV and sound, radio broadcasts, audio recording, evangelistic pamphlets, books, Christian magazines, schools, hospitals, and prisons.

  • To establish programs and projects aimed at uplifting the standards of living in various communities – health programs, financial literacy, support the disadvantaged etc.

  • Establish income generating projects.

  • Fundraising and applying for grant funding and collaborating with other organizations for further promotion of humanity and welfare.

  • Purchase or lease movable and immovable property for ministry purposes.

  • To speak out boldly and advocate for moral principles of generosity, love, peace, unity and compassion.

Our core values

1. Unconditional love (Agape) - Love without strings attached.

This is the greatest of all Christian values, because it is the very nature of God. It is an unselfish, sacrificial love that gives of itself without expecting anything in return. You do not base it on what someone does for you. You simply love them and want nothing more than their happiness.

1 Corinthians 13:4-8:

  • Love is large and incredibly patient. Love is gentle and consistently kind to all. It refuses to be jealous when blessing comes to someone else. Love does not brag about one’s achievements nor inflate its own importance.

  • Love does not traffic in shame and disrespect, nor selfishly seek its own honor. Love is not easily irritated or quick to take offense.

  • Love joyfully celebrates honesty and finds no delight in what is wrong.

  • Love is a safe place of shelter, for it never stops believing the best for others. Love never takes failure as defeat, for it never gives up.

  • Love never stops loving. It extends beyond the gift of prophecy, which eventually fades away. It is more enduring than tongues, which will one day fall silent. Love remains long after words of knowledge are forgotten.

2. Generosity

Generosity is giving good things to others freely and abundantly. It entails not only the moral good expressed but also many vices rejected (selfishness, greed, fear, meanness). Generosity involves giving to others not simply anything in abundance but rather giving those things that are good for others. We intend to enhance the true spiritual and social wellbeing of those to whom we give. We actualize generosity through various forms of giving money, possessions, time, attention, aid, encouragement, emotional availability, blood donation and more.

3. Compassion

It is not compassion until when you feel concern for others for example the needy, disadvantaged, orphans. It involves relating to the sufferings or misfortunes of others. Compassion is sometimes the capacity for feeling what it is like to live inside somebody else’s skin or shoes. It is the knowledge that there can never really be any peace and joy for oneself until there is peace and joy finally for the other person.
